FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Rental Program

  1. Do I have to be an enrolled Oneida Tribal member of Wisconsin?

Yes.

  1. Do I have to meet low income eligibility requirements?

Yes.

  1. Can I have arrearages from current or previous rental residences?

No.

  1. Can I have utility arrearages?

No.  All utility bills must be current.

  1. Do I need to have housekeeping skills?

Yes.  You must be able to maintain the home and possess good housekeeping skills.

  1. What if I have a felony, drug arrests, or other social issues such as a history of criminality?
      If you have any Felony convictions that are under five (5) years your application will NOT be considered.

Felony offenses over five (5) years MAY BE considered at the discretion of the Executive Director.

            If you have any Drug related misdemeanors that are under three (3) years your application will NOT be considered.

  1. What age is considered an elder?

62 years and older.

  1. Do you have elder housing or elder complexes?

Yes.  We have three (3) elder complexes and elder duplexes.  

 

Homeownership Program

  1. Do I have to be an enrolled Oneida Tribal member of Wisconsin?

Yes.

  1. Is there a minimum annual income requirement?

Yes.  $30,000 per year.

  1. Do I have to have dependants?

Yes.  Must be a family member with at least one child.

  1. Can I have arrearages from current or previous rental residences?

No.

  1. Can I have utility arrearages?

No.  All utility bills must be current.
